Vacuum-Rated Valve Core Removal Tool for 1/4in Standard Fittings

Core tools are one of the most important components of a proper evacuation rig. Removing the cores allows for a full unrestricted flow through the service port significantly decreasing both evacuation and or recovery times. Standard core tools are only designed to operate under pressure to allow for the replacement of leaking valve cores without the removal of the refrigerant. Appion core tools are rated for both vacuum and pressure allowing for typical service as well as faster evacuations and recovery. A side port allows for isolation of the hoses for determining the level of vacuum during the evacuation process. Engineered for vacuum, Appion core tools are the best money can buy.

    Features:

    • Vacuum rated to 20 microns
    • Easily remove access valve cores for full, unrestricted flow
    • Double O-Ring ball valve seal for accurate "blank off" vacuum testing
    • 1/4" side port for vacuum gauges
    • Designed for high pressure refrigerants including R410a
    • Magnetic Base - Never lose a stem again
    • Adjustable Tip - Grab all cores with confidence

    Why Remove Valve Cores?

Valve cores are designed to restrict flow and minimize refrigerant loss. Up to 90% of the access port can be restricted by a valve core. Removing them maximizes flow and can save hours on any job.

    Hot Tanks and Slow Recovery?

A valve core acts like an expansion valve, turning liquid refrigerant into vapor and superheating the refrigerant. This causes the tank to heat up and leads to painfully slow recovery times.

    Tired of Slow Evacuations?

Evacuating through a valve core and core depressor can reduce the potential flow of any vacuum pump to as little as 0.2CFM.

Are your Tools Rated for Vacuum and Pressure?

All Appion Valve Core Removal Tools are Vacuum-Rated to 20 microns and designed for high pressure refrigerants, such as R410A. This will give you the peace of mind that your tools aren't going to leak in a deep vacuum or during critical parts of the recovery process.
